Kiboga, Uganda 08 

Earlier this month one of my trustees, Matthew Fitter, and I went to minister in a remote village community called Kibuye, in the Kiboga district of Eastern Uganda. Many people in the village had not seen a white European before, but the reception we received was incredible, with the villagers singing and dancing to welcome us on our arrival. Despite the conditions being very poor, many people, including many Pastors, travelled a long distance to partake in what was billed as a 'leaders conference'. Overall attendance at the meetings each day was about 400.

Although the event had been publised as a Pastors conference, over the three days we saw 23 people give their lives to the Lord! The first person to commit her life to the Lord on the Friday morning after I had preached was a woman who said she had been following satan and was heavily involved in witchcraft. The smile on her face and the joy she showed as she left to go home to her village some distance away that afternoon was all the evidence needed to see that her life had been changed by Jesus!

It was wonderful to be able to minister to Pastors, refugee's, and orphans - some of whom it seemed were amoung the most needy and neglected people in Uganda and it was incredible to witness several people being baptised by local pastors on the saturday morning in what could only be descibed as a swamp!

As we left, the community was vibrant and rejoicing because of what the Lord had done during our time there. Rev. Gerald Kwitegerza, our contact, said that the area 'had been transformed'. Please pray with us for the people of Kibuye and Kiboga, particularly as we discuss the possibilities of returning next year for a major mission in Kiboga town.

Boomerang 2008..

I was again privileged to be part of the summer childrens event 'Boomerang', which took place in Purley, South London at the end of July this year. The event as a whole was attended by over 800 children. The week consisted of various activities and on the thursday I had the opportunity to share the Gospel with around 200 children - 60 of whom responded in giving their lives to the Lord! 

Argentina (March 08)

 'Dear Steve, I have to let you know that our church have got a great impact for your visit and the message which you shared Sunday night' - Pastor Ricardo Bedrossian (Argentina)  

 I was privileged to be in Argentina at the beginning of March to be part of the historical Luis Palau festival in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Over the two nights of the festival 800,000 people heard the Gospel preached by Evangelists Luis Palau and Andrew Palau.

People arrived. at the festival site at around 5.00pm and continued to enjoy performances from Christian bands and singers until 2.00am the following morning. It was during these performances that the Gospel was preached, and many gave their lives to the Lord!!

On the last Sunday of my visit I was invited by the Pastor of my interpreter to preach at their Church. This was a fantastic experience and several people gave their lives to the Lord and many others made re-commitments - praise God!!
